When it comes to wedding photography, I believe that it's all about telling your unique story through my lens. I love getting to know my clients and finding out what makes their love story special. This helps me to capture genuine moments of joy, laughter, and love that truly reflect who you are as a couple.

My style is mainly focused on candid shots. I believe that the best photos are the ones that capture real emotions and connections between people in the moment and unaware of me snapping away, rather than posed and staged shots. Of course, I also make sure to capture all of the important moments throughout your day, from the walk down the aisle to the first dance and everything in between.

As your wedding photographer, my goal is to make the process as stress-free as possible. I'll work with you to create a timeline and shot list that fits your vision. On the day of your wedding, I'll be there to capture every special moment without being intrusive or distracting.

Still not sure what you're looking for ? take a read below to see how I work:

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and I'm here to make sure every moment is captured perfectly. To help you understand how the day will unfold, here's my guide to wedding day photography, broken down into stages.

Preparations

To start the day, I'll be packing my equipment and setting my Sat Nav for the first location. If you prefer, I can even send you a text to let you know I'm on my way. When I arrive, I'll speak with the venue manager (if it's the first location) or start taking pictures (if it's a home address) to make sure we're ready to start the day with a bang. Before we start taking pictures, I'll make sure you're ready and get some photos of the venue outside or some shots of the dress, shoes, and bouquet or cufflinks bow ties and suits.

Getting Ready

As everyone gets dressed and ready, I'll be there to capture some stunning pre-ceremony shots. This is the perfect time for me to take candid photos of you and your loved ones as you prepare for the big day. I'll also capture any details that are special to you, such as the dress, shoes, and jewelry. This can be a busy time, but I'll make sure not to get in the way. We'll also take a few moments for a First Look with Dad,Bridesmaids or someone special and some breathtaking Bridal shots.

The Ceremony

This is the moment you've been waiting for - the ceremony! I'll be at the front in most cases, capturing every emotion and expression. During the ceremony, I'll be as discreet as possible, and the only time you'll notice me is if I have to use a flash. After the ceremony, we'll head outside for confetti shots, greeting everyone and some fun photos of the newlyweds enjoying a well-deserved drink. Of course weather permitting we can always adapt and I will be there prepared for any changes.

Formal Shots

During the formal shots, it's important to keep everyone together and avoid any delays. However, guests tend to wander off or may even forget to join the group photo. To avoid any confusion, it's helpful to have someone allocated who knows your guest list, such as a bridesmaid or sibling, who can help round people up and ensure that everyone is included in the group shots. This person can also help to call out names and arrange family and guests into position.

But it's also important not to forget about the candid moments. While the formal shots are great for capturing everyone together, it's the candid moments that truly capture the joy and happiness of the day. As a professional photographer, I'm always on the lookout for these special moments - a laugh, a tear, a hug between friends - and I'll be there to capture them all. With a mix of formal and candid shots, you'll have a complete and beautiful representation of your wedding day to cherish forever.

Couple Shots

This is a nice quiet time away from the crowd, and it can last as long as you like. I'll only ask you to go through some simple relaxed poses that you are comfortable in and any ideas you may have sent me.

I prefer to get you naturally into position with gentle prompting.

Picture this: One of my most favourite photo opportunities -

Getting you both to walk away from me hand in hand as after all this is the first 5 minutes away from everyone since you said I do! you are the most relaxed then, can take a breath and take in everything, by the time your walking back towards me your in even more awe of one another and this makes the most beautiful photos of you being authentically you!

These are the shots that will hopefully go on the wall! If we only manage a few shots during the afternoon in bright sunshine, I'll suggest that we try for more during "Golden Hour," an hour before sunset when the light is amazing, and the photos look beautiful.

The Reception

After the guests enter the sit-down, I'll leave you alone for the meal and get some refreshments for myself. I'll recharge my batteries and keep an eye out for the start of the speeches. Once the speeches are complete, I'll take more guest shots and get ready for evening arrivals, the cake cutting, the first dance, and the evening shots. Once I have some dancing shots, I'm pretty much done and have all I need to make your gallery of the whole day!

Your wedding day is all about capturing the joy, love, and excitement of the day. With my guide to wedding day photography, you can be confident that every moment will be captured perfectly, and you'll have memories that will last a lifetime.
