Photography work experience in Harlow

A peek behind the lens — and into life in a working photography studio.

Hibbard Photography offers a limited number of placements for students interested in photography, creative work or running a small business. Schools, colleges and families are welcome to enquire.

What you could explore

Studio lighting, camera settings, creative photography, editing workflows, preparing sets and props, and the business side of photography. Activities depend on the studio diary and current projects. Observation of client sessions is only included where appropriate and with permission.

How placements work

Placements take place at Hibbard Photography Studio, Moot House, Harlow, Essex, CM20 3AG. They are usually one-to-one, with one or two days up to a week depending on availability and agreed arrangements. Work experience is free; dates and activities must be confirmed with Louise before making plans.

Access and support

The studio is on the first floor. There are two stairlifts, with approximately four or five steps between them; access is not step-free. Please contact Louise before arranging a placement to discuss access, learning needs or support privately.
