As a wedding photographer, my goal is to capture candid, natural love, and emotion. Photography is subjective; each photo tells a unique story and can be perceived differently by different people. I work discreetly, blending into the background, to capture genuine, spontaneous moments that reflect the true essence of a couple's relationship.

-a true love story through my lens-

Love, laughter, and cherished memories filled the air at The Milling Barn Wedding Venue on 14th July 2023, as we celebrated the union of Gabbi and Cieran. As fate would have it, I was not just a photographer capturing their special day, but I had the privilege of capturing moments for the bride, Gabbi, who also happened to be the little sister of my best friend. The day was filled with joy, romance, and beautiful blue flowers, beginning at the Sacred Heart of Jesus & Saint Joseph R.C. Church in Ware.

It was certainly a surreal moment witnessing Gabbi get married along with seeing her immediate family, having had play dates quite often when we were younger, her brothers obsessed with little hot wheel cars and so tiny, Who now tower over me in height and have grown into lovely young men. Seeing My best friend Beth in a beautiful Blue bridesmaids dress, the last time I saw her in a bridesmaid dress was my own wedding! Watching little Corey witness his mummy and daddy get married was a beautiful thing to personally see from my amazing position. Gabbi holds yet another special place in my heart,

The Bridesmaids:

Gabbi's bridesmaids wore stunning baby blue dresses that complemented the wedding's theme perfectly. As a heartfelt gesture, Gabbi gifted each of them beautiful little hairpieces to wear, a symbol of her appreciation and love for her closest friends. It was touching to witness the camaraderie and bond shared between Gabbi and her bridesmaids throughout the day.

Those final details, a helping hand and a Father's love:

Gabbi was surrounded by her enthusiastic bridesmaids. A few of her bridesmaids helped her into her beautiful wedding dress, making sure everything looked perfect. I was honoured to assist in buttoning up the back of her gown alongside her eldest sister my best friend , who beamed with pride. being able to participate in those final touches and capture the moment was am amazing feeling. Gabbi's father Waited patiently in room and once Gabbi came out from behind the screen he was amazed and full of joy and pride as he saw his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time. The bridesmaids were also in awe of the stunning bride. It was a heartwarming and unforgettable moment, filled with love and support for Gabbi on her special day.

A Dreamy Setting:

The Sacred Heart of Jesus & Saint Joseph R.C. Church in Ware provided a breathtaking backdrop for the ceremony. Its light and airy ambiance, coupled with hints of beautiful blue flowers, created an enchanting atmosphere that perfectly complemented the couple's love story. The picturesque church enhanced the magic of the day, making it a perfect start to Gabbi and Cieran's journey as husband and wife. The priest was so accommodating with my movements for the perfect moments and gave me free rein which makes my job so much more special! I try my best to be unintrusive when capturing special moments and this church has so many opportunities for the perfect shot.

A Family Heirloom:

One of the most touching moments of the day was when Gabbi held a locket that once belonged to her beloved grandmother. This cherished family heirloom held sentimental value and represented the presence of her grandmother, who could only be there in spirit. Capturing this moment, along with Gabbi's radiant smile and her bouquet of flowers, was truly a privilege.

A Relaxed Celebration:

From the moment I arrived at The Milling Barn Wedding Venue, I could sense the relaxed and joyful atmosphere among the couple and their guests. The wedding party radiated happiness, and it was evident that Gabbi and Cieran knew how to make the most of their special day. Their infectious enthusiasm spread to everyone present, setting the tone for a celebration filled with laughter, dancing, and heartfelt moments.

The Speeches: A Playful Game and Heartfelt Moments

The reception was filled with laughter and heartfelt emotions as the speeches commenced. Cieran's best man took an amusing twist to his speech, challenging the groom to a game of rock-paper-scissors to determine who would finally be the winner. The lighthearted moment added a fun and unexpected element to the evening, and the room erupted with cheers.

Gabbi and Cieran's Wedding Cake: A Sweet Symbol of Love

As the evening continued, it was time for the much-anticipated cake cutting ceremony. The couple stood side by side, beaming with happiness as they cut into their beautiful wedding cake. The act of feeding each other a slice was not just a delightful sight but a symbolic gesture, representing their commitment to nourish and support each other throughout their marriage.

Their First Dance: A Tale of Romance and Togetherness

The first dance of the newlyweds was a moment of pure magic. As the music swirled around them, Gabbi and Cieran moved gracefully across the dance floor, their eyes locked in a loving gaze. It was evident that this dance wasn't just a formality; it was a celebration of their journey as a couple and the promise of a beautiful future together.

What followed was a heartwarming sight to behold. Both families joined the couple on the dance floor, forming a circle of love and celebration. The barriers between the two families seemed to dissolve as they joyously danced together, united by the bond of Gabbi and Cieran's love. Witnessing this display of unity was a testament to the power of love in bringing people together. The dance floor filled with so many loved ones.

Gabbi Dancing with Her Dad:

Gabbi's dance with her dad was a poignant and unforgettable moment during the wedding celebration. With his amazing dad dancing during "YMCA" and their tearful embrace to another song, their daddy-daughter dance was a beautiful reflection of the strong bond and love they share. As they danced together, surrounded by the love and support of their family and friends, it was evident that this wedding was not just a union between Gabbi and Cieran, but also a celebration of the enduring love between a father and his daughter.

In Loving Memory:

At the wedding there was a lovely photo tribute for loved ones who were no longer with us. They had a special memorial space to honor and remember them. It was touching to see and brought tears and smiles. Having such a tribute at any wedding adds a special touch and reminds us of the enduring love we hold for those who are no longer with us.

A Dual Role:

As the photographer and a guest, I had the unique opportunity to capture both candid moments and enjoy the festivities with friends and family. Once my photography duties were fulfilled, I gladly joined the guests in celebrating the newlyweds, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Gabbi and Cieran's wedding was nothing short of magical. The Milling Barn Wedding Venue served as the perfect backdrop for their love-filled day, and the Sacred Heart of Jesus & Saint Joseph R.C. Church in Ware set the stage for their lifelong commitment. Witnessing the couple's relaxed and joyful celebration, as well as the meaningful gestures like the heirloom locket and the bridesmaids' thoughtful gifts, made the day all the more special. As both a photographer and a guest, I can genuinely say that Gabbi and Cieran know how to throw an unforgettable party and, more importantly, how to cherish the love they have found in each other. May their journey as husband and wife be filled with happiness, laughter, and many more magical moments. Cheers to the newlyweds!
